Hi,
I have a Roland FC 300 Midi pedal with two expression pedals. Now I want to control the volume of one channel in a combi with one of the expression pedals. How can I do that?
Thanks in advance

I do not have that pedal, but one way that comes to my mind:
1) Program/configure the pedal to send CC Volume (07) messages on some midi channel X that is not your Kronos global channel
2) In your combi set desired timbre midi channel to X
3) In combi set Karma module that you are not using so that its input is GCh (global channel) and output is your channel X and Timbre thru is selected. Do not set "run" that Karma module.
p3 is needed to allow timbre play with your keys even if it is not on global channel.
Pedal should now control that midi channel volume.

Another way would be to pick some other CC# for your pedal that's not being used for something else and transmit on the global channel. Use a preamp IFX with that CC# matching the pedal to control wet/dry. I believe you have to set gain for -100 and wet dry control amount to -100 to get it to work right. Route any parts you want controlled through that IFX.
I do this using my local foot pedal. You can first run various parts through different IFX chains if they need different effects, then route the various chains into the preamp IFX.
Doing it this way allows me to keep the standard foot pedal assignment for the CX3 patches but also be able to do some complex fades in combi mode without having to customize individual patches to respond.

Just looked at one of my combis where I do this.....
I use "tube preamp modeling"
Output level: -48.0 dB
Wet/Dry: Wet
Source: Foot Pedal (CC#04) - this is where you'd match to your pedal
Amount: -100
So what it's doing is when "wet" it's reducing the volume essentially to 0. You have reverse action on the foot pedal so that when it's at 0, the IFX is wet, thus cutting volume. With the pedal at 100%, it's dry, which means bypassing the preamp and thus full volume. You could do so,etching similar with other IFX's like a compressor or something.
