Mess? It organize everything by .all file and rename it accordingly to the pattern. What's wrong with it?
It's probably not your type of workflow but it doesn't mean it's not a workflow. If something it's not in your standard doesn't mean it's bad.
I personally have made my kit with thr sampler management app so I can choose sample by category and scroll with the shift.
I have only the osc from Electribe and almost 50 sample for each drum part(kick, snare, clap, hat, percussion) and around 50 single cycle waveform which I did in my daw...I have around 190 sec left.
I do techno but also boombap so I sample vinyl,my workflow is stay with my kit, sample what I need,190 sec are a lot and when my song/project is done I export the patterns and the sample I get from vinyl or if I resample parts,of course.
When my sd,32gb, is a bit messy I organize with folder on my computer where I put the pattern and samples(with the corresponding pad numer that I used in the project) for easy recall.

"little thing" I noticed for the Electribe Sampler.
Once you change your start and end point in the sample edit and you "write" and "export all sample" the Electribe trim your sample and you get more secs depending of the sample trim of course.
Also if you upload sample at 32hz(which I don't mind and I like it) they count less second, I uploaded 8 bit 11somethinHz for fun, they take nothing!

hope it doesn't makes trouble, i just posted a new thread dedicated to an entire modification of Electribe's presets (about 715 !!!) from their original binary groove to complex ones
This added to live examples from western africa in where these complex grooves are usual as traditionnal dance music
in trying to match the tempo of live performance, (roughly from 135 to 155 bpm) i've realised that the reprogramming went very close to these complex beats and their associated dance
