Kaossilator 2 : Play sounds while playing back your wav file
Hello, I just wanted to ask this question since this is what I bought the Korg Kaossilator 2 for. Needless to say I'm a bit disappointed it doesn't allow me to do this. Is there a way I can play back my wav file and use the pre loaded sounds at the same time, like an additional layer? I think it's definitely one of the features that should be on the Kaossilator 2 and I'd like to see a software update that allows this feature if noone can find a way to do it. Please reply guys.

Yes, you can use your computer to load your WAV file into the IMPORT folder of your K02's memory card and use it as a new loop.
Reload the memory card into K02.
Tap the FNC (function button) eleven times to bring up the File Load / Save screen. Choose file load. Navigate to the IMPORT folder and select your new WAV file and load it into one of the two loopers.
You should then play your new imported WAV file as a loop, to mix with any other Kaossilator sounds to play or record.
But just in case you were wondering: your new imported WAV sound does not become a 'new voice' or 'new tone' of the Kaossilator 2 synth engine. Not like with a sampling keyboard, for instance. Not at this price, eh?

You can change the BPM of your new WAV and enjoy playing or recording Kaossilator sounds over your new WAV loop, but I think that's all you can expect to do with it.
Hope this helps
nariharan90, did you want to use the Audio Player for playing other music while using the KO2 sounds normally? unfortunately, that's not possible. out of curiosity, why would you want that? the KO2 is primarily a phrase/loop recorder. i imagine it would be difficult to keep your loops in perfect sync with music from the Audio Player.
