Isn't 'Init Pattern' supposed to be completely empty?
I hadn't seen anyone else mention this... When I initialize a pattern on the E2S, it clears everything then leaves a 1 bar, whole note sequence on Part 9, set to OSC: Hippy.
Is this a firmware bug, or a "helpful" "feature" to automatically lay down a kick drum for me?
Easy enough to Clear Seq and carry on, but hey man, maybe I'm more of a drone and pad kind of guy recording soothing fluffy ambient clouds for massage spas.
I'm not, but I could be.

Unfortunately all the INIT patterns are like that. I know someone (I think Tarekith) made a pattern file for the E2 with all blank INIT patterns. Not sure if anyone has done that for the ES2.
My workaround was to have one blank INIT pattern (250) and then just save over something else when starting a new pattern. Kind of a hassle, but it's fine for me.

Yup! that's how i do it, too. i find that taking time for file management helps me prune out older patterns and projects that aren't needed anymore, and gives me a nice consistent blank canvas by loading my own version of an init patch that's as blank as i can get it.blackholesun wrote:Unfortunately all the INIT patterns are like that.
