KP3 + Zero8: KP3 output volume too low?

I'm well aware of the usual problems of the Zero8 mixer, but I don't think I read anything about this issue before:

I got a Zero8 and a KP3. The return volume from the KP3 is really low and doesn't match up to the volume of the track. The EXT volume on both the channel and master are at 100%, and still, it is really low: I can barely hear any of the FXs I use.

Anybody knows what could cause this?
