For KORG Italy!!

Post by dimitris »

KORG I think you own to your dedicated customers all of us who are owners of PA3X to give us a newer OS version that supports Set List function and Direct from Disk style capabilities!
All KRONOS owners had this opportunity to update the older KRONOS to newer version!
It is something that depends from software update only and you have stated in the past that you do your best to support your customers and I believe that!

Regards,
Dimitris

I dont think they do it. No one will buy pa4x then ! Theres not enough reason to upgrade to pa4x as it is, let alone giving pa3x owners afew bonuses.
MUSCI AND THATS ALL...........!!!!

Dimitris... agree 100%

Shahin is also correct about the sales issue however as korg has given updates to older kronos to current, same should be done here as I cannot see any strong reason why current 3X users should upgrade. The 4X should be ok for new buyers however we the current 3X users should be given the added ability.

Im expecting comments about wanting things for nothing etc (the usual) but this is not about that, this is about features that should infact be in all korg arrangers as direct access is standard on all other manufacturers keyboards even the lower range ones too.... I believe korg will do the right thing going forward.

thanx

I have to make a clarification for direct access mode that you all may have missed !
This old feature can reproduce sounds & styles only when PCM resources have been pre-loaded in Ram
Yes it works fine for all factory resources that are pre-loded by default but can never work with a custom
PCM set unless you load it , so you can never preview or play a second SET with custom samples different
from that is already loaded , if you realize of what do I mean !

Hi Antony

I wrote with this understanding and you are right that when people looking at this must understand that styles needing customs samples etc must have those samples etc loaded prior in order to audition those styles.

This feature is a confirmation that Korg is in fact moving away from the set folders although this would mean a little more work/prep for those importing custom styles that use custom samples.... at least this is a move in the right direction.

thanx

I'd better say that this is was a 15 years old feature that just came back :D
For reading/previewing ext. PCM samples , I clearly explained in an older article why
we won't ever see such a feature in today PaSeries technology !
