Kaoss for vinyl DJ

I'm a vinyl DJ and am looking to add an FX unit to my setup. The key feature I'm after is beat tapable echo but it will be nice to learn and use the rest of the effects from this device. I have friends who use the KP2 but they bought their units many years ago so I wanted to see if there might be a better model to use than the KP2.

I'm looking for the best sound quality, BPM tapable, echo and that's about it. It will be nice to record some custom effects that I can initiate during my sets as well. I'm going to be using it along with a Mutron Phaser and possibly one other external effect strung along the signal chain.

Any thoughts on the best model to go with?
