From the author (on reddit) on how this piece was made: I have the master effect set to wet reverb, maybe a little over 50%. The first higher pitched sound you hear is a saw waveform. It has delay on it and a very slow and very subtle triangle LFO modulating pitch. I have a LPF on it, cutoff at around 80.
The 4th part is the drone that comes in. That's a clav, and it's looping a chord. I have distortion on it, applied to the max. I keep the volume down low and bring the sound in with the LPF. There's a sweet spot, where it's distorted/clear and not too bass-y. I really liked how warm it sounded. I have a random modulation on the OSC knob to give it that rhythmic effect.
The 5th/6th parts that play the brassy lead have one of the sine wavs on them. I can't remember what I used exactly, I'll check once I get home from work. I had a slow attack and long release on these. I was going for a "mountain horn" feeling haha. There's some delay on these, as well as a very very slow/moderate triangle pitch LFO. Another LPF on this as well (used the MS-20 on most of these btw), around 60.
