Electribe Synth Contest 2 - Horror Edition
Alright, so the 2nd Electribe synth contest is here. With Autumn, October and Halloween right around the corner, I thought it would be appropriate to do a horror themed contest.
Rules:
- Make a track to soundtrack a non-existent (or existing) horror film or make a track featuring the scariest sounding noises you can muster. As long as it evokes the feeling of horror or terror. (Quick example of one of my favorite horror movie soundtracks - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnFc7D0ZoCc)
- Must be created with a synth model of the Electribe. No sampling allowed. You may use any PCM or drum samples that are on the Electribe however. You may use more than one Electribe as well. No post processing or post effects are allowed.
- Submissions will be taken until October 9th, 2015 at Midnight - California time. From there, a poll will run for one week where voting will commence.
- You may post your submissions in this thread or PM them to me.
Prize:
You will get the honor of setting up the next Electribe synth contest if you so desire.
And the winner will get a little care package put together by yours truly, mailed out to wherever you are in the world.
Hope to hear some great tunes. Good luck!

If it's a bunch of body parts I'm gonna be very upset.blackholesun wrote:And the winner will get a little care package put together by yours truly, mailed out to wherever you are in the world.

Yes to all of the above. Just no effects or sounds from anything that isn't a synth version of the Electribe.Hugo wrote:Cool! So, is it allowed to run for instance the EMX through the E2's effects and filters, and then record into a DAW? Are multiple takes allowed, and is it allowed to sequence the Electribe's from the DAW? Not that I necessarily will do this, just want to clarify
This sounds awesome. If I can finish the other sample challenge in time (http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=99793), I'm definitely jumping on this one. So many ideas floating around in my head for what to do!
btw excellent use of a theme, blackholesun!

Actually, if it's for the body of a Mercedes Benz 300E I can use them. A little fender-bender has my left, front turn signal out and the headlight hanging on for dear life.KnowingWhatTheButtonDoes wrote:If it's a bunch of body parts I'm gonna be very upset.

Didn't I hear the Denver PD are looking for a Merc that was involved in a hit-and-run the other day?sauce wrote:Actually, if it's for the body of a Mercedes Benz 300E I can use them.
