Hard Disk can be formatted with PA, as per the manual.

I think I will be asking a goldsmith to make one for me as I can't find it anywhere in the whole world . _________________ Music is a real Therapy

Sorry!I did not see that you already have dowloaded the PDF manual. Yes they got you! meaning KORG.... The kit is the problem, in here, Korg do not have it. God knows when but I know there are places in US that have the installation Kit. I think in Europe www.synthplanet.com do have the installation kit with the HD. Best of luck.
Fahim, |
Korg is making money on every bit of this keyboard, if they have build up MP3 function in it, why didn't they make the board as "in-built" with the system.
While installing the hard disk with TYROS, you don't need any kit wit. |
Yes Shahid! Korg is making a lot of money. If you add up the cost for all these extras, it will cost the same or more than a Korg pa 1X Pro Elite or Tyors 2(loaded with extras). This is rediculous and on top of it, the optionals are hard to get... this is another issue with Korg's customer service........
Best Regards,

Hello Shahid:
Look at www.synthplanet.com. They are located in Belgium, Europe. They do sell the 80GB HD with HDIK-1 kit for $156.71 US dollars. A friend of mine in Texas, USA bought his Pa800 from them and got it within one week, that is how I know about this place. He was very satisfied with their customer service. I just check their website few minutes ago and they do have the HD with the KIT. Best of luck.

Hi fahim,
I checked www.synthplanet.com online, they don't show HD kit online but they might have it in the stock and I already have a hard disk of 300 GB ATA and I would like to buy only the Kit. I will send them an email as well.
I have sent an email to www.sound1.com (Norway) as well where I bought MP3 card from, hope they reply positively.
Thanks _________________ Music is a real Therapy

Hellow Friends: I bought my HD installation kit from this company recommended by the korg. Here is their web add: WWW.tubesandmore.com. They charged me $98.00 including shipping. I also bought a 80 GB Western Digital HD from Best Buy (2.5" ATA which is a small notebook hard drive) (ATA is same as EIDE) for 92.00 plus tax. it is extremely easy to install. There is a small openning under the instrument that needs 2B openned first. Just make sure to connect the cable in right orientation without any force. There is a black wire(ground) that needs to be connected to the one of the DH kit mounting screw (there is noe mentioning of this in the instruction). Once U R done with installation if done correctly, the instruction for formatting will show up as soon as the instrument is on. Just follow up on screen instructions. |
