i got a mpc which i have only done one song with j.lo sample but when i tryed sampleing just about any other song it was lame.Can any song be sample and choped to make a great song or is there just a hand full out there?
p.sWERE would the best sample be found for doing hip hop?not drum breaks but loops |

I think you may need to sample a range of single hits and use your sampler as a drum machine along with your samples. Become an expert at chopping. Look on youtube to see how others 'make a beat'. Also try mixing up your sample sources/genres to find your own sound. Don't try to copy anyone and don't forget that you are always learning. You will improve in time by practicing, having fun and chilling with it. |
