|

I am looking to use my SQ1 to modulate a modular synth (pitch, freq, etc).
I am using Ableton Live as the master clock. I have APC20 as well to trigger clips and transport. I am connecting SQ1 via USB to my PC. I do not want AQ1 to send midi - just CV/ Gate.
What I want is that when i start the transport on Ableton, the SQ1 picks this up and starts the sequence running at the same time, with the tempo locked to Ableton tempo.
This is no problem for me with TB-3 connecting through USB, and I am asusming this is possible for SQ1. I dont want to have to press start on APC20 and SQ1 at the same time as this is somewhat clumsy.
I am assuming it is a combination of midi settings in Live, and startup combination of SQ1. However, I am damned if i can work this out and struggling to find this posted in enough detail online.
Hopefully it can be done. Any help greatly appreciated.

I have solved the issue.
I needed to have my MIDI preferences set properly in Live
Input track – off
Output track – off
Input sync – off
Output sync – on
Input sync – off
Output sync - off
Turns out it was defaulting to have input track on as well. And for the TB-3 but it doesnt seem to effect that performance. _________________ Korg MonoPoly, APC 20, Ableton Live, NI Massive, Bass Station rack. |
