88 Keybed reinstall - weight hitting SSD

Post by blong5150 »

Not sure where I went wrong. I replaced the touch screen. WHen I install the keybed, there is no way around the weights in the middle of the keybed hitting the SSD. Anyone had this happen? I thought the SSD cage may be too far forward but that's the only place the holes matched up.. Online photos show that the keybed is up against the cage also. It's probably something obvious I did wrong.

that sounds like a nasty DIY.

hard to believe that Korg or who ever sold you parts that were out of spec, or non-standard.

If I were you, suggest you post photos to show the exact problem inside.

FWIW, I thought the key bed might shift around. and its touchy to get it precise.

In the interest of time (gig next weekend) - I dropped it off at a service center. The replacement screen was DOA too.
