Hi, I have a combi in a set list slot where one track controls an external synth (EXT2) on MIDI Ch 1. When I use the transpose function in the set list slot with this combi the external synth respond to this Transpose message.

But when I copy this combi into a Song and enables the track that I want to use to control the external synth on MIDI Ch 1, and put this song into a Set list slot and then try to use the Transpose function in the Set list slot, no Transpose message seem to be transmitted to the external synth.

Is there a different way that songs work inside a Set list slot compared to a combi put in a Set list slot? or am I doing something else wrong here?

Yes, song MIDI (anything that comes from internal SEQ) goes more or less directly to MIDI OUT.
See "Kronos Param Guide" p 783 where is also good schematics about routing MIDI intenally, including transpose application.
