Hi...first post and not sure exactly where to put it...
Anybody have one? or seen one in a pawn shop, etc.?
Sure would like to get more info, and a schematic would be pretty fabulous...
I have one of each of these rare birds. I think they are great amps...I use the SM-75 on a gig.
They are virtually impossible to get any info on.
Here is an ad:

Thanks! |

Ok...I will post my own reply.
It's mid-september and it's crickets (or more likely cicadas)
In the meantime, I found one SM-75 on a Japanese auction site, won the bid for $17 USD (2100 Yen), and spent $160 USD (20000 Yen) to get it shipped . It works just fine but needs a step-down transformer...Japanese is 100VAC.
Otherwise there are none to be found. And I have searched diligently.
I do own one PM-30 and am looking for another, and have posted in the for sale/wanted forum.
But I am perplexed there is no info on these...
Again, if anyone sees either of these anywhere, please let me know

Mike, It seems that broschure you showed could be at least 35 years old. Noticed in the fine print a copyright indicator dated 1985. That may be why nobody knows much about these amps. FWIW _________________ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=807494

The fact that I have only see a small handful of these amps in evidence and the total lack of information available leads me to believe that not many were manufactured and sold. They are good solid amps for a moderate volume level. My belief is they were an experiment that basically went nowhere. I've never seen these out and about.
I use the SM-75's as my digital piano amplification at home...works just fine...and they have that wood thing going on...
I will also say I took my PM-30 and recapped it and put a Rola speaker in it (All these amps speakers are the same size as went in the old Bose)
It is an excellent small-scale amp.
Wish I could find another...I've only seen the one that I got, and that was on Ebay...came from a storage locker sale in a state of severe neglect, but salvageable.
I continue to scour the internet to no avail! _________________ orig CX-3 (sold) M1 Plus 1, Wavestation EX, TR-76, MS2000R, X-50
