Post by menara »

Hi

I have made a comparison chart between the new Pa Models :

Specs are taken from the manuals.

If you are wondering what are the Dnc sounds missing in the Pa1000 and Pa700 models (comparing to the pa4x), here's the answer :

And finally, a summary chart comparing the Dnc sounds available in each instrument family (sorry it's in french):

Ok...i wanna ask a straight forward question...
Is the PA1000 a better Synth then what the PA800 was except the
Bigger Sampling RAM, in things such as overall sound, outputs,
build, functions...no Fills???

I have a pa4x and I did have a Pa800 , the pa1000 will sound much better and the fills buttons (4) of them , I use the smart fill on my Pa4x , and I don't need the fill buttons .. yes if you want to go from variation 1 and you want to put fill 4 in and go back to variation 1 it can be done easy, you can turn smart fill off and on . and as far for sliders , they are nice but I never use them, and for organ sounds , playing with sliders can be a pain , that why korg make preset sounds,
Now this is (IMOP)

if I want a special sound , I make and make a preset, no time to play around in a middle of a song .

Sliders for Organ Sounds

Sliders are valuable tools to play with as variable as with the drawbars of Hammond.

Korg did not use drawbars in smaller models for cost-saving reasons, but playing presets is never as variable as with drawbars.
kind regards

My iPad is showing just a black page with a small white keyline box in the bottom left corner.
When I nod my head . . . Hit it!
