Hi, I'm new to this forum. I intend to buy a M50 and I'd like your appreciation on how this workstation manages different kind of guitar sounds because I know that a lot synth sound ridiculus when producing these sounds. Thanks.

Thanks, I can't try it here since no store has it (small town), but what I want to know exactly is how do the electric (overdrive and distortion) guitar sound on this workstation. I heard the Tr on Youtube and it was the first time I found the overdriven guitar sound so good but it has sampling capacity.

Some of the distorted sounds I've tried sound good. But in order to get a good distorted guitar sound, you need good effects. I think a combination of the the M50 and a Line6 Pod (or other guitar fx) would give you pretty decent guitar sound.

I just got my M5, but I intend to use a distorted guitar sound just to fill out the soundscape when our guitar-playes solos, and I think the M50 will sound great for that use.

True you need good effects, AND M-50 has plenty of them!!!!! really good guitar amp and tube amp and cabinet simulations. It doesn't get better than this, believe me, with a Line6 Pod.

Agreed. Amp sims and cab sims in the M50 are the best. A real Strat/Tele and POD are still going to have the edge but the M50 comes very close! Certainly the closest I've ever heard from a synth - and you can modify and create your own particular favorite with the endless modulations and effects built in to the M50.

The twin Teles through an AC30 is a really nice sound although my current favourite is an M3 patch from the user created area on the Karma-lab website. It's called "Austin Guy" and is a Tele/Strat mix with just a touch of drive and stereo chorus - great crunch sound.

I also like the electric guitar sounds because of the cabinet effects however it is a little 'over'processed when comparing it to easy guitar of Cubase VST 5. I haven't been able to tweak it to sound more like that one but I convinced it should be possible.
