http://www.amazona.de/index.php?page=26 ... le_id=1373

As I've discussed with Peter via email, while the M3 looks similar to the OASYS in some respects, it in fact uses a completely different software system. So, no conclusions can be made from anything related to the M3. The only tool used to make screen-shots for the OASYS is most definitely for internal use only, as it is tied very closely to our development environment.

I'm very sorry that Peter has been unhappy with his communications with Korg's distributor in Germany. I have no direct knowledge of that interaction, so I cannot comment further on that subject.

As mentioned previously, I'm happy to do an interview whenever Peter wishes.

Best regards,

Dan

Peter, this is sad indeed. I hope there can be a change of heart. Your work is excellent.

Here's the BabelFish translation for those who don't speak german:
peter m. mahr wrote:Which annoys me primarily is that franc Sawusch very probably promised all this to me. But for months there is there no answer to mails like at all music Meyer it on the row does not obviously even get the Korg magazine to Vienna to send... from the experiences which I with the repair my 8,000. - Euro expensive OASYS made to be silent completely (by the way everything documented).

In addition I have in other place inquired whether it am possible that I make Screenshots for Workshops - the answer was in a general manner a "friendly" ` sorry NO, for internal use only '.... not badly I was astonished then as I the report read:

http://www.amazona.de/index.php?page=26 ... le_id=1373

Why am I to thus make product for someone and/or someone constantly advertisement, to which so obviously its lack of interest states? Even if for others my time is not worth anything, it is much worth to me.

Finally the experience was alone nevertheless worth it. Because in 25 years user (MS-20, Mono/Poly, T-1, Prophecy, Z-1 and now OASYS) did not have itself much a certain image of the company Korg in an educated manner of that meanwhile remaining remained with me as Korg.

Peter

Now, I understand a little better. I still think that this is a great *global* resource which should continue. Who cares about KorgGermany when KorgUSA (via Dan) are on board?

@Dan:
I believe, that's the difference between you and the people distributing your product here for the German speaking countries. You care for your product and what customers think about it and your company.
MM collected all the user data and don't even send the promised Korg-News-Magazin - neither Peter nor I got it in Austria since we bought our Oasys. It's not a big issue - but just another example why one feels more supported here than in the German speaking forum (yes I know this is not an official Korg forum - but the people being close to Korg AND caring more for their customers are here ).

Guys,

I live in berlin / germany, and even i don't get their KORG magazine (i almost forgot, that there is one in existence). Tell you what, why don't we just forget all this frustration about non-existent german KORG support and their lame forum.

Additionally i want to state that peter's blog will be strongly missed ! This was an exceptional piece of information and it added another dimension to the KORG world. It could have been to german-speaking KORG users what the MM provided website never was ... a home for like-minded users ... plus, all of our international friends.

Hopefully, peter will change his mind about this, but ... if not ... let's all get back to playing with our tools (no, not these ones, i mean the OASYS and stuff).

T.

PS: an interview with DAN woud have been groovy indeed.

Peter, thanks for publishing your interviews again, they are indeed an interesting read! :D

I´m a newcomer here, my OASYS is supposed to arrive on tuesday, so anything new I can read about it is a great bonus for me.

Thanks,

Curvebender.
