Hi Guys,

Hold one minute .
Firstly Nedim i don't if you know but i think Hitesh is from Korg India.
If i can create the harmonium sound without sampling it's better to do that and to save the my mem space.

What i don't get from hitesh is why aren't these specific indian sounds available on there download website as performance, sts and samples ???
I think everybody would appreciate that.

So Nedim what i am going to do know .
First i am going to try to recreate the harmonium with the howto of Hitesh.
If i am not satisfied i shall send you the wave files from cubase.
But if it is the thing i shall make the sts for download.

Many thanks to all of you for now,
Sanjai

Damn, this can hardly be recreated, first of all i dont hear any diferences
between this and most of the accordeon sound, it is a little softer and thicker
but still, i'll give it a try again but its so close to the Accordeons that you
dont even have a Span to work on, i dont know where to start cuz it still
just an Accordeon and it works the same way. Sample would be best.

Hi Hitesh,

Last night i tried to make it and i agree the 16+8 Accordion is very simmelar. Afortunaly i tried hard to find and follow youre describtion but was unsuccesful i don't know which reverb and how much also there were a lot of exciter but none exciter/enchancer.

I am still a newby on this matter so if you please could write a stepthrou howto so that i can follow that and everbody would appreciate that.

Ps: i tried the "exciter o chord" whooo coming closer..

Thanks a lot,
Sanjai

Hi Sanjai,
The Reverb & St.Exciter/Enhancer are the effect types. If you are in sound mode you have to set it in effect 1 & 2 and if you are using the sound for STS in style play mode you have to choose this effect in C&D as they are used for your right hand side part. You can select any reverb of your liking from nos. of them available in effects. I normally use the Wet Plate Reverb with effect send 20.

go to swarsystems.com and you can purchase many indian instruments samples and you can import to your korg. Sitar, Sarod, harmonium etc, etc.

This is what i achieved so far:

http://www.speedyshare.com/383524184.html

It needs more work, the first few notes which ROOT KEY is C1 sound
distorted due to the not good quality of that particular sample.
I'll work more on it or if someone find even better samples.
I dont know, this to me sounds as a regular accordeon, you guys know
better about HARMONIUMS, is it anywhere close???
There is no FX on it yet, only reverb, i'll have to add EQs and Filters to
get more of the HARMONIUM.
Qader, you want me to work on the other sample too? TUMBI???

:) great job, i guess sounds good, even with your style of playing sound interesting, maybe you can use it for your own stuff too ...

and as far as sampling the other stuff like tumbi and tar, its all up to you, if you have time , that would be great !! :)
