Of all the Damn things!!
I just got my Oasys back about a month ago from the repair center. I just watched part of Mike's video and I'm ready to get on My O and start learning some more and play. I'm in a great mood and its my birthday. Well happy freaking birthday to me as my Oasys produces no sound. Nothing but static/noise. It comes out of all the outputs including the headphone outlet. I have tried many different things but nothing works. Static, static, static
Am I this cursed???
And there was this one time at band camp......

First - Happy Birthday!
Second - something strange is up with your OASYS. It almost sounds like a sound driver issue. I was just reading on Karma-lab that a guy was having trouble, so his dealer ordered a replacement OASYS to trade.
Obviously, I would call Sweetwater and see if it is something that can be quickly resolved. If not.... well, you've already been without the unit for several months. I hope someone can make this right for you. You deserve it.

Silverdragon,
Given the OASYS has already been in for repair, you might consider suggesting that Sweetwater swap the unit for another one. At some point, a "problem" keyboard would need to be shipped back to the manufacturer, and since you have already been without the OASYS for a long time, swapping for another unit might be the best solution.
I assume Korg USA could work with you to get replacement auth codes if you end up switching keyboards.
Good luck and let us know what happens.

Some new info:
It maybe as simple as the sound board coming loose or it could be something very serious. I am going to take it in locally and find out this week.
Now for the good news: This is why despite all that's happened, I am happy I purchased an Oasys. I spoke to Ian at Korg support on Friday. His wprdw to me I don't want you to worry. We will figure out what's wrong and make it right. Go out and enjoy your weekend because we will make sure you have a working Oasys.
This did give mepiece of mind. Now just got to get things working again.

No. Korg actually wanted me to go through Sweetwater and they are going to look it over and fix it again. Since its at no cost to me, this is the best way for me to go. They just picked it up yesterday as I was away from a two weeks for the holidays. Last time it took a few months to get it fixed.
My concern is that this is the second issue I've had with it. I'm concerned because of the events and what happened the first time it needed to be fixed. The issue was a power spike. I had it plugged into a surge protector and nothing else was affected. The interesting thing was they sent me a new power chord as well as fixing it. I wonder if this issue is/will affect things now and in the future. It does worry me.

Before Sweetwater sends the OASYS back to you, I would suggest you reach some type of agreement with them. You could tell them:silverdragonsound wrote: My concern is that this is the second issue I've had with it. I'm concerned because of the events and what happened the first time it needed to be fixed. -- what happens if I get the keyboard back and have problems again within a month or two
-- If I DO have problems again, are you willing to replace this unit with another?
I would simply talk to someone in authority at Sweetwater, express your concerns, and basically get their agreement in advance that if you have problems for a third time, that is the time to replace the unit.

Thanks Martin. I was thinking the same thing. I have put in a message and email to the owner Chuck Surrrack. Hopefully I will get some kind of response that's beneficial to my situation.
