Recording Performace

Post by khol »

Hi there,
I'm having a performace problem with my M3.

Have an M3-73 with a EXB-RADIAS and i have also bought an USB-stick to record music to.

As it is, im now trying to record a simple track using the original B038 combi onto my USB-stick.

However, everytime i kick in the KARMA-module everything is getting out of sync. But only when i record to my USB-stick or into the sample RAM. When i practice the song without recording everything is fine.

More information:
I have the B038 combi (Soundtrack Guitar).

1 First i play a little intro, No drums, no karma,
2 Then i kick in the drumtrack and play a few phrases,
3 Then i kick in KARMA (Scene 5).

And as i said before... when i practice everything is fine, but when i record everything is totally messed up and totally out of sync when i come to my third point (when karma kicks in).

Is this a hardware-related performace problem?

Please help !

How much memory does you USB stick have?

Also, how much free space is on it?

I remember that only certain compact flash cards worked on the Triton Extreme, but am not aware that there is any such issue with USB memory sticks.

Also not too sure if there is a limit that the M3 will write too on the stick.

Again, the recommended max memory on the Extreme was 1GB, but not sure if it performed any worse after 1GB.

I have a 1GB USB-stick.
Formatted in the M3.
And there is not much on it. At least 50% free.

I also have to add that this performace-problem also occure when i record to the M3-builtin sampleRAM.
