I had some ideas:

-transpose and finetuning for the suboscillator in the AL1.

-changing the curve of keyboardtracking for the AL1 osc's like in the Z1 for crazy notes,a soundexample:

-more flexibility to route the signals,so there is to say that we can have
the ringmod between 2 filters in the AL1,look here in my schema:

-Stepsequencer for HD-1,

-for AL1, routing the signal of the Noisegenerator into the Ringmod,
Filter-FM

-new filtermodels with saturation(it is not a problem for me if this reduce the number of voices)

-drive and low boost for LAC-1

-crossmod and sync for the poly 6

-waveshaping(Formant- and Granularshifting) for HD-1

- a saw/square + waveshaper for Mod7

-an new advanced Brassmodell (BRS-1)

-Voice modelling

-possebility to create parametermorphing with the stepsequencers

-simple gridprogramming for the mainsequencer with an electribe-mode

-autoloadfuction for own samples and thirdparties like karo

-Gigasample support

-new EXS4 from Korg with Club/House/Ambient multisamples

-SID Emulation

-Wavedrummodell with external Drumcontroller(like the original)

I thought of something that would be neat.

The ability to modulate anything by anything. Just select a parameter, hit a button (FUNCTION perhaps!) or select from the drop down menu and route it to a envelope gen, LFO, pedal, -- set the offset, etc. I'd like to modulate some parameters in Insert effects that by default don't have modulation abilities.

I'd really like to see a full bodied Librarian function that allows comments by the user for better user characterization and search capabilities. Also, it should have the ability to initialize individual programs and combies. It would also be great to be able to initialize a whole Combi bank for use as programs.

While we're at it, like many others, I also feel more program slots should be available on-board, perhaps double.

Memory should be expanded at least to 4 gig if not more. I agree with others who advocate some user control over use of memory, sampling comes to mind, etc..

The Sequencer should either be brought up to modern Graphical Standards or left off the machine. Why should we have to stuggle with a third rate function on a flagship model? If Korg can't design a good one, then maybe they should farm it out.

That's my list right now.

I'm sure there will be more.

A program, combi and song specific notepad would really make my day.
I find that keeping notes about the aspects of programs and combis
is essential because many are so vast, versatile and multi-faceted.
Internal notepad would make keeping such notes easy. If the program
memory is too limited, it could be hyperlinked to a text file on the disk.
Similar with the internal help.
Maybe this at last would be the funtion of the funtion key.

I would like to have an opportunity to record for example a 20sec movement of the vector joystick and save this as part of the sound (like the neuron). Would be great to get for program and combination mode.

i would add, that we should be able to record every movement of knobs, sliders or joysticks in the step sequencer, at least.

I am not sitting near my Oasys at present, so might not be able to explain this well. Basically I'd really like to have the ability to optional link together break stage of the Oasys envelopes with previous/next stage so that effectively becomes just an ADSR envelope when you're quickly setting the values. This would allow you to quickly to set the shape of the envelope by setting just the ADSR params. It could be implemented by just putting a small 'Link' button between the parameters of the break part of the other stage. Does that make sense ?

It would be great to see some sort of preference that would allow us to sustain a program's caracteristics like sound, effects, etc, while changing to another program (without cutting off).
