how do you use program mode? do you just edit sounds then save them or can you actually record?id like to know what it really good for besides making edits ? i kinda asked this before but still havent grasped the capabilities of using program mode ,i normally copy combis or start from scratch in sequencer mode, id like to become more program savy just some brief explanations on how to use program mode and what its good for?

You can think of the programs as your sound pallet. Each one usually represents one type of sound or instrument that can be played. A painter uses a pallet to produce a multi colored painting.

Piano, bass, drums, horns, strings, etc can all be played individually.
You can also edit them to produce new sounds, including using 2 different samples at a time for a blended sound.

What you do with them is up to you. You can make new combis or lay down tracks one instrument at a time, which is a time honored way for the one man band to record and also make your own new sounds.
