How can I use the physical Sliders as Drawbars?

Post by Tapas »

Hi,

How do I use the Sliders to behave as Drawbars while I am playing a CX-3 program?

For example, let’s say I pick Felix’sDaCat (User Bank F, Program 000)

I touch the Upper Drawbar Levels on the screen, and it gives me a page showing all 9 drawbars extended to their max position.

This state is reflected in the 9 physical sliders with the green LEDs.

I touch the right most drawbar on the screen. It gets selected in red.

I have now 3 ways to change the drawbar stops.

1. Turn the Alpha Dial
2. Use the Value Slider
3. Use the Increment/Decrement buttons next to the Value Slider

I can see the LEDs on the Master Slider responding to my changes.

However, if I change the Master Slider which corresponds to the right most drawbar, nothing happens.

My question is, can I directly move the 9 physical sliders to change the drawbars?

The sliders are set to [Tone Adjust] mode.

Thanks,

Tapas

Is Local Control on? If not, you'll need to make sure that MIDI is looped back to the OASYS, and that SysEx is included in the loop-back (some sequencers do not do this).

Are you in Sequencer or Combi modes? If so, make sure that Tone Adjust is assigned to the Track or Timbre of the organ program.

Hi Dan,

You hit the nail on the head! It was indeed the Sonar sequencer messing up the OASYS. The moment I turned off the laptop and rebooted the OASYS, everything was back to normal.

The sliders started to behave like drawbars.

Thanks franzlp for the link to the PDF guide.
