MIDI problem

Post by Sanjai »

Hello,

Hope you guys can help me.
I have a midi keyboard and a fcb1010 footpedal.
The two are added to the midi in of my pa800.
I use the midi merge funtion of the fcb1010.
The problem is that when play the midi keyboard and i hit a pedal the playing notes keeps on going.
Maybe i am doing something wrong so i hope you guys can help me.

Thanks,
Sanjai

Hi Sanjai

I may be able to help but would need to know the pedal and channel configuration of the Behringer and MIDI config of the PA800.
When you say "..the notes keep on going..." I assume you mean sustain (i.e. like you have the damper pedal permanently down)???

Cheers

Hi Pete,

Thanks for helping me out.

I use the pedal on midi port one en the axiom on port 2.
I configured the pa800 so that on midi in configuration i have set channel one to control and channel two on upper3.
Everything is oke except when i play on the axiom and i hit one of the pedals the notes from the axiom sustain for ever. I have to use panic to shut off the notes ????
I don't use the filter option of the midi in
Maybe midi merge of the fcb1010 is not good i don't no but is stupid.

Hope you know what i am doing wrong.

Thanks again,
Sanjai

Hi Pete,

I think i have fond the answer.
It seems all problems are solved by adding a new cable.
Midi out (pa800) to the midi in (axiom).
I think the midi clock is send over there are no more sustaning notes.

:D :D :D

Thanks,

Or maybe try changing the polarity of pedal, from your posts it seams that it gets note on messages and no note off messages.
