Don't worry Ron,

It's not lack of passion that is slowing the release, just lack of time

:x

Mick

That is good news...There are so few developers that have an interest in Korg and I was just a little bit concerned when it got just a little quiet..

We all look forward to your quest....

Hi Bratan,

Yes your order is being processed. You sent no address so Frank at Audioworks will have to follow up with you before it can be shipped.

Thanks,
Rob

Thanks so much, I got it and it's really great! You really put alot of time and effort into this.
BTW, have you thought about electronic distribution of the videos? This would solve the issue with distribution, video standard (PAL/NTSC) and also media capacity :)

Hi Bratan,

Glad you like the DVD's.

What you received is approximately 4,000 Mbytes video and sound data per DVD making 12,000 Mbytes in total. We could not afford the infrastructure costs to set up sufficient baandwidth to a file server to cope with what would be 3 days of constant file download traffic per customer to download the files. It would take about 12 hours at a link speed of 1 Mbit/sec for just one DVD.

Also many people would be unable to convert a download into a DVD Video disk to play on a DVD player.

Best regards,
Rob

I have a question. Which part exactly covers MIDI to style conversion? It should be on DVD3 but for some reason I can't find it there :( Perhaps you can point me to the correct chapter?

The MIDI to style functionality was not available on the Pa1x, which is where we did the filming over 18 months ago.

I got the DVDs last summer. From what i remember, there was a little section that covered MIDI to style i believe. It wasn't in depth or anything, but it was enough to get me going. I'm pretty sure there was something that i've seen in those DVDs, in regards to this topic.

We did cover importing a MIDI file and using it in a style intro, we also showed how to create a groove, this was as far as the functionality on the Pa1x went at the time. However the new style to midi with markers functionality in OS2 is far superior and that is not covered.

We are not a company in this for commercial gain, we are just other users from the forum who volunteered to do it in one of our crazier moments before we realized how much work would be involved.

Maybe someone else could film the midi to style with markers import and export, showing how you use it with Logic, Cubase, Cakewalk etc?

Regards,
Rob
