wierd sound with keys

hi guys

well today i was playing my pa800 and about
after an hour or so i noticed
a sound, at first i thought it was part of the style
but when i stopped the style and played around i heard it again
but its only on about 3 or 4 keys in the D to Gm area
then i turned the keyboard off and i pressed those keys and ther it was again the sound was there like a hammer just tapping a hollow metal pole
or something, also i notice that that part of the keyboard had lost its feeling unlike the other keys which are a bit harder when you press them.
Is it possible that those keys are loosening up and if they are how do i fix it. because i want to avoid taking it to the dealer because they take a couple of months before they even look at it.

Try SHIFT + START/STOP to see if the sound stops. If it stops, than it is a software problem. If it does not stop, it could be a hardware problem.

The keys that seem loose could be due to a tear in the rubber strip beneath those particular keys

is it possible to fix this myself
also i noticed that i could only hear this sound wen it was really quite
like wen everyones asleep n im playing then i hear but durin the day
when there is noise in the backround i dont hear it
so im guessin it mighta been there before n i just didnt hear coz i only strted playin at night now coz skools finished n i hav time.

It could be a resonance (within the speaker itself) from an other electrical device ! How close do you have some electrical stuff ?

Try moving your PA to another room. Does it still occur ?

I think he said it happens with the keyboard off?

Hi Nabil,

You can open up the keyboard and remove those rubber pins in a process described by one of the members in the pa1x pro section, i'll try and find it for you. Note: Make sure this is the problem so you don't do anything inappropriate and end up destroying the keyboard. Most people refuse to open up the keyboard due to fear of destroying the keyboard. Unless you are an expert or are confident enough you shouldn't try this.

hey Mrkorg

Well im neither an expert or confident enuff to fix it myself
seeing as this is my first professional arranger and i dont hav any
experience fixing arrangers myself so ill choose not to open it up and destroying it.
i think i can live with the sound and its not really loud and noticable
unless it is dead quite in the backround if it does get worse ill pop down to
turrumura music and see what they can do.
