KARO Team collaborating with Sharp

Post by Sharp »

Hi all.

Just a little news for you, KARO are going to be resellers of my OASYS ASSAULT library in early May, and after that.... well you never know.

I don't have the time to promote my work outside the community like KARO can, and inside the community I'm also restricted because I'm one of the owners of the forum. Can't run a non-profit forum and push my own software either beyond anything than a simple mention. It's one of my own rules... :-)

The forum is for the most part entirely advertisement free and we just turn a blind eye to announcements if they are from people who participate in the forum. Nobody is allowed to advertise beyond that. Even with that said and the position I hold on the forum still makes this uncomfortable for me to even mention my work as I've had to pull others up on the level of advertisements they posted. So the less I have to say about my own work the better in general it is for me when I have to stick the Moderators hat on to let others know how things work here.

It's complicated

Regards.
Sharp.

Sharp (and Karo)

- Congratulations - a wonderful and natural collaboration. Future libraries can only be stronger for such closer ties.

- Regarding advertising - you have nothing to qualify to anyone here. From my perspective, anyone promoting their OASYS related technical or creative content here is inspiring and I'd say it's obvious to everyone here that nobody is out to exploit the forum. Everyone from the users, to Korg, to Karma Lab and Karo have been benifiting from the healthy state of affairs you and Daz run here. You have nothing to feel uncomfortable about.

Actaually - Mike Conway, E2J and Stephen Kay have been quiet lately. Perhaps also it's time to strengthen ties / transfer or information / notifications etc. with www.karma-lab.com also? And hopefully other collaborations among all of you creative bodies will only increase into the future.

Although I had no problem at all with your (very reasonable) promotion for OAssault here I think it's a good idea to team-up with Karo - congrats! 8)
