Hi,
I have just purchased a new PA1x Pro Elite and wanted to ask if anyone knows the type of RAM I should ask for to upgrade the existing 16MB RAM to 32MB RAM.
I searched the web and also this Forum and all I can find is it uses 16MB EDO 72 pin RAM.
I think I need more info on the memory type. Is the 16MB RAM Chip with parity, without Parity, NON ECC or any details which will help me search for the correct type.
Also does anyone know what is the maximum RAM upgrade with the recent OS updates for the PX1x Pro Elite? Should I be asking for more than 32MB?
Thanks.
Memory type for PA1x Pro Elite

Hi
The Elite comes with 16MB RAM - you can only add another 16MB.

additional 16MB of RAM in the form of a single 72-pin SIMM module (for a list of tested SIMMs, see www.korgpa.com). Please contact

I bought my 16mb upgrade from here and its works fine.
The 16mb chips are getting pretty scarce being old technology bu t they were commonly used in the first releases of pentium computers and even many old printers - check your local computer repairer - he'll probably have some to give away.
Best,
John
