Karma /Recording the Midi notes

Post by ianhut »

Can anyone tell me who I can get a COMBI using a Karma Ge to send all the notes (and not just the notes that trgger the GE into life) to send all of the notes used to an external sequencer?

I have been looking at the manual, I can start/stop it using sync ext or int, but it only ever records the trigger notes or changed chords.

I want it be able to record the whole midi data that a GE is playing, like on the drum part I can hear it playing but no notes are being sent to the ext sequencer. I cant get it to do this.

How do I set this up.

Oh and I have "Send the output of Karma to an external device/sequence" turned on, but I still only get the triggers

Any help would be appreciated.

Great wiki-file - thanx for the link! 8)

I remember a thread in the Oasys-section at KLF somewhere (and some here as well) covering your subject. Steven once gave a nice discription at KLF in one of these (3 methods and for recording Karma - and one was recording the midi-events).

However, once I set it up for recording midi-events I switched back to recording trigger events. Otherwise you'll get tons of midi-data from Karma and I found it easier and faster editing just the trigger-events.
