No that is not normal. Sounds to me like your internal battery is dead or extremely low. This battery provides power to hold internal sounds in memory when keyboard is switched off. Check out the battery.

I'm pretty sure that it is a CR2032 calendar battery... They're readily available, so it shouldn't be hard to find a replacement, and the installation is pretty simple as well. Good luck...

I have the exact same problem..

Is there an idiots guide to replacing the battery on my Trinity Pro? I've tried on a number of occassions to remove the back / bottom - but I'm clearly missing either screws or something else as I've never managed to free it up enough without some resistance to removal...

Thanks ..:D

Hi Azaniah, just got your PM message on the SOS forums. ;) I tend to check KF more often than SOS thesedays though. :)

Apologies that I can't help in this aspect though, I've never actually switched out a battery from my Trinity yet.

I think I know the problem - The battery is a CR2032-HE2

So it's got solder tabs (and not even owning a soldering iron - that's put pay to changing that)... I thought it would just slide in / out - but no....

:(

Thanks for coming back to me tho' :D

There was an old post by Sharp here that showed pictures of how he changed the battery. He even posted where to purchase the battery. I have not yet reached this point but, I can see the battery when I removed all the boards I sold on ebay, and wondered, how the heck am i going to get to those solder points for the battery. What I thought was, maybe do a mod, like maybe solder to cables, a positive and negative and install another battery holder somewhere else more accessible, and just leave the dead one there. I wonder if this would be a possibility?
Best,
Musikman
