Kaoss Pad + Guitar issues
So I am currently looking at a guitar with a Kp1 screen installed, however, the guitar connects to the Kaoss Pad unit via a Serial cable, rather than through a midi cable. Are there are converters or cables that would allow me to bypass the kp1 and instead plug into a kp2 or kp3 unit?

it plugs directly into the middle of the Kaoss pad, not the back, just directly in the middle, where the screen used to be. Also, on my guitar it does not have two RCA lines, but rather one serial line. I would assume it's sending Midi information, but getting a cable from Serial to RCA or Serial to Midi has become problematique
No, there are no cables or converters that would allow you to replace your modified KP1 on your modified guitar with a newer model KP, unless you are an electronics engineer who is qualified to do the original kp1 modification. In other words, if you have to ask the question, the answer is always no, because otherwise you would know the answer. You would need to trace the entire signal path to know what's going on, and that is a very difficult task indeed if you don't know how these things work in great detail. Anything you try has a very good chance of destroying all the electronics you have, making it just a non-working frankenguitar with a mass of burned electronics attached.
