KP3 Not Found

Post by malcolmboone »

So I updated both my KP3 and KP3 Editor to Verison 2, but I can't get the KP3 editor to recognize my KP3. What do you think is wrong? Also do you have to have a SD card inserted for it to work?

You have to have midi in/out ports configured on the computer. That's usually done by hooking up the USB cable and installing the Korg USB-midi driver. The KP3 needs to show up in the Device list when you run the configuration program, or you need to run the Remove driver program to clean up the midi config and then reinstall the driver.

It's still not working. But I did notice that under the MIDI preferences, for input it says "Not Use MIDI In Port".... Could this be an issue? And if so how do I fix it?

That's normal when the AutoDetect Checkbox is checked.

When you run the Config Korg USB driver application, press the device list button. Does it show the KP3 listed?

I just figured it out. I read another topic and found out that I had to many MIDI ports installed, so I uninstalled 3 of them and now it works. Thank you guys for the help though, I am very pleased to see how fast people reply.
