Hi..!!
I've Korg X5D. When I exchange a program through korg x5 sound editor software (e.g. move tone no. 5 to tone no.10 & vice versa) it does not automatically update combination(s) as well. Means, if I shift tone no. 5 in place of tone no. 10, in combination, tone(s) which uses tone no. 10 will now use tone no. 5 instead of using tone no. 10. In short korg x5 sound editor software remembers tone combinations by numbers (place/sequence) assigned to respective program & not by tone name.
Is there any way to solve my problem?
How can I preserve combinations even if I exchange (shuffle) tones in the same bank?
Please help me

you can't.
you're right that the system is based on numbers and not by name - you could have two programs with the same name, but the program numbers are always unique. but its not just the editor, thats the way the actual keyboard works too..
the only way around it would be to go through every combination and change them to point to the right place.
there may be software that automatically updates combis, but I don't know if there is one that exists explicitly for the X5D. (or do you mean you have an X50? I know that comes with a sound editor...)
for example though, I think someone was working on a program specifically for moving programs that updates combis, but for the M3.
