one reason i like my korg X50 so much is the Favorites function, that allows you to program 10 programs AND combinations together for quick one-button live access.
i just hope the next X50 software update will include maybe 10 More Favorites slots!
the only way i've found to do this so far on the Triton Extreme 61 is to use the Combi function and add your one Program patch , or your Combi patch to each Combi space.
for instance...go to Combi, Bank E:001 initial combi E001 and
touch arrow to the left
screen comes up with E000-E015
add your program/combi to each "slot"
touch right and left arrows at bottom of screen to move to E016-31, E032-47,etc.
if anybody has a better way of instant access to Programs and Combis. please let me know..just got the Extreme and am having a hard time feeling the love!!!
combining Programs/ Combis for instant live access

Reply re: LIVE
I've owned my KTE for 2 weeks but am getting grips with it.
I have the same LIVE performance dilemma ...
What I'm doing at the moment ...
Re-name one of the Combination 'Categories', call it, say 'JW LIVE'
Set up numerous user Combis, whether they are single sounds or multiple layered patches. Name the individual Combis e.g. Sax solo / Piano & Strings / Organ etc etc. They will all be there on screen at the touch of a single button.
All the other factory combis can be re-assigned to another Category so your own combis with appear first.

Live Performances
Further to my last contribution, I have to say that I am finding the majority of factory combis on the TE pretty unusable; so within my 'JW LIVE' combi category / bank, I have re-assigned their own category to a new bank which I have named 'Un-Used Factory' (e.g.) so that they no longer appear before my own stuff.
My LIVE category bank now includes only my own combinations.
I have used Korg keyboards for years and one slight problem I have always found ... when you change combis, there is a total sound cut-off. With some of the Yamaha gear I use, the 'Reverb' (for example) of the 'previous' sound or combi continues 'post programme change' which is preferable and makes for smoother transitions.
I've only had the TE for a few weeks but the system architecture is so similar to earlier models, it is easy to get to grips with.
