You might try to sync them through a USB link to a computer and some software that can put out a midi clock. I remember a thread where someone had spoken of this method for the kp3.

If you try this, please help the community and post back to the forums on your success or failure!!

Good luck, I know there are many people with your same problem.

Hrmmm, that sucks..

You know, I temporarily had a microSampler and the Kpro midi synced up with it perfectly. I thought the sync problems were exclusive to the kp3.

?

ok. have tried everything. syncing them to each other, syncing then to abelton. they snyc to ableton until you change tempo, then thats is. emailed korg they said this,

To synchronize the KP3 and Kaossilator Pro, you can connect the MIDI out of one to the MIDI in of the other. Then set the CLOCK setting on the unit that is receiving the MIDI data (THE SLAVE) to EXTERNAL.

Information on how to set the MIDI CLOCK to EXTERNAL can be found in the owner’s manual

Page 21/22 of the Kaosillator Pro’s owner.s manual

Page 21 of the KP3 owner’s manual.

didnt work.

I've ordered a Pro, but haven't received yet. Hoping that I can MIDI with Electribes (Electribes as the slaves) and my Dave Smith Evolver. From what I am reading, I hope I'm getting the correct impression that sending MIDI out from the PRO is easier than sending it IN?

from ym experience they dont work.

having siad that, i need to try syncing both the krpo and the kp3 to an external source.

they both sync seperatley to ableton, which is fine fo the kp3 for bpm effects, and ok for the kpro for looping, but then minute you change tempo thats it.

they defo dont sync to each other, no matter what this guy at Korg keeps telling me via email.

i'm getting used to just syncing them myself using the tap and align buttons.

let me know how you get on.

Hello,

Is about the KP3· SYNC....Im sync several devices without midi cables, on a Mac, trough the IAC midi driver.
The system runs very well,...as an example,...I have Guitar Rig 4 ( Stand Alone !) in sync with ableton live trough USB.

With my new KP3 updated to 2,0 is obvious this system can run,...BUT......
(here I need some help)

Once KP3 is USB connected to the computer, I edit in the KP3 EDITOR to EXTERNAL SYNC, and when I try to TRANSMIT to KP3 a message appear:

Device Inqury Error.

Is strange, because I have updated trough USB.(USB is not the problem)

Can somebody help me ?

Thanks!
