Kassilator and vocoda
I have just bought the kaossilator pro and i can't seem to find any information about how to use the vocoda effects. nothing in the manual either. can anybody give me a simple overview of using the microphone with the vocoda effects?
thanks
thanks
First, try plugging a microphone in, adjusting the level, switching to a vocoder program, adjusting the depth of the vocoder (may as well have it up full for a start), and then "vocalize" into the microphone while moving a digit across the touch pad. The pitch should be on the X axis, as with all the other synth programs, and the Y will be the program-dependent modulation.
Voila! Vocoded vocals.
Then, if you want more answers, ask but try to be more specific.

Vocoder and Kaoss Pro
I tried exactly what they said on youtube and also what you said (Plugging the jack into the mic jack and switching it to input mic and turning the dial to the vocoder effects) but it still isn't working. Is there something I'm missing or is there something wrong with my mic? I can hear the static from my mic but when I say something, it doesn't go through to the headphones. I checked my mic and used it once before through the interface and it works fine so it can't be the mic's problem. Please contribute some idea or hypothesis to what could be wrong or how I can possibly fix it. Thank you in advance.

Wrong. I just had a little look and that is a condenser mic that requires phantom power and, as Mr. Money has already said, "the kpro provides no mic power".I don't think the AT2020 has anything to do with the problem.
You either need to get a dynamic mic that does not need phantom power or a mic pre-amp with phantom power to put your current mic through before it goes to the KPro.

I have an M-Audio interface that supplies it with phantom power, so any idea on how I can put it through the vocoder through that? It recognizes it on the computer and it receives sound just fine but how do I get it so that it goes to through to the vocoder also? Any solutions to this problem without me having to buy another mic? Sorry if this is a tad tedious but I need all the help I can get on this one.
