using a fc-300 to trigger sample banks on a kp3

Post by dhoinjo »

Does anyone have any experience with a Roland fc-300 to trigger sample banks on a kp3? In the manual it says that the number for the banks is 36-39 but the kp-3 doesn't respond. In the kp-3 midi menu the required trigger is a c2, but I can't send note signals from the fc-300, only numbers

I'd guess, like the vast majority of MIDI foot controllers, that the Roland FC-300 can't transmit MIDI note messages. Therefore, you can't use it to trigger the KP3's sample banks.
The only one that I found in my research that does and can is the Behringer FCB1010.
