Does anybody use the Spider also for gigging and is it sturdy enough if it stands on a not completely flat ground or even worse: on some wooden plates that tend to bounce a little while playing (due to overenthousiastic guitarist or singers)?

I guess not since a cross stand is mostly also that width I guess but still it's nice to know for sure ... I'm not going to test it out before I buy it (saves mes another 25$).

It's sort of a personal deal, because I'm good with the store :)

Well congratulations :-) ... guess I don't get such a deal (maybe I should try to get one when I buy a Kronos).

I have done some (rough) calculations, and I am not sure anymore if the Behringer FCB1010 foot pedal board will fit under it (well it fits but if you can still handle it with feet).

The size of the Behringer is 60 x 687 x 221mm.
The width between the legs under is 870 mm. That only leaves about 91,5 mm a side (left and right of the pedal board).

The height at this location is about 73 mm and the height of the pedal is 60 mm ... but my feet are certainly more than 16 mm in height. I could do with a few less switches on the left side but the pedals on the right side need to be able to move quite freely when I stop on it.

However, I used approximiately the measurements of the previous page. Can anybody confirm if a midi pedal board of about 680 mm wide (2-3/8 x 27 x 8-3/4 inches ) would fit AND be able to use it ?

I have to agree with Stephen Kay; I love my Apex-90. I get LOTS of compliments on the stand and it works fine with my pedals. In fact, I love the fact that they don't creep anymore; the stand fixes them in place.

the other thing I love is the cable management system; I run my power cables and output jacks through a slot in the center of the stand which have these really neat cable holders which flip in and out. I keep those cables in the stand and never remove them. I even have my pedal cables fixed this way. When I break down, I simply disconnect the boards and pack the whole thing in the included case. this saves setup / breakdown time.

This was my key buy for 2011 thus far; Hopefully it will be replaced by the Kronos as my new key buy. My only complaint is it does not have an adapter for a Mic Boom arm.

The apex AX-90 weighs like 50 pounds though.

It does, but if you read the included instructions, there is a specific loading and unloading system that uses leverage to setup/breakdown the stand. It really moves a lot lighter than you would think.

The weight, however, really adds to the stability of the stand with two keyboards mounted. this is great for stages that flex and with wild musicians jumping up and down; I don't lose my keyboards on the floor! LOL

Hmmm. I do like the look better than the spider pro. Better aray of colors. but you play standing up, so i see pedal room is no concern for you. I enjoy sitting down because my knees shake whenever I'm on the spot  The spider pro is lighter and has pedal room. Hmmm

Big price difference too. I priced Ultimates prior to purchasing the Spider Pros.

I looked at the spider pro. The issue I had was with removing/lowering the arms during transport. It did not have a memory lock so everytime I setup the stand, I would either have to use a magic marker to mark my positions or remember where I positioned each keyboard for comfortable playing. I asked the company through email if they had a memory lock system for the arms and they said not at this time.

I love the way the Apex arms simply pop off and store in the top, plus I've actually repositioned the arm height with both keyboards attached. The pull out locks are very good, strong, and easy to manipulate.

I've heard the lid that closes over the arm
Storage compartment brakes easily

Has anyone tried the Standtastic stands? Looks like it could be a good solution for me. Need to be able to have three keyboards on it spaced as close as possible. Looks like they're fully adjustable including tilt. Could also be able to place a midi pedal keyboard underneath. Only question I have is how wide is it?
