Strange Message

Post by Sharp »

Hi all.
I switched on my OASYS today and I saw the following text for the first time ever when it booted.
There are un-saved wave files from your previous audio track recording session.

Do you want to restore these files or delete the from the disk ?
The strange thing was that on my previous session, I did not use the Sequencer let alone HDR mode. I was only in program mode recording myself playing Program sounds with the Re-Sampling function to Wave files on the hard disk.

I'm curious how such an act would generate this message.

Regards
Sharp.

It seems, although I've never done this proceedure myself, that your recording in program mode was secured in the hard disk. Typically, after shut down, these takes as saved to the disk and when the keyboard is started back up, a prompt query about restoration is asked. At least this is what I have seen when recording to hard disk. maybe the process is the same with resampling, which is basically recording of a fashion. A thought anyway. :?

I've had the exact same message.

It came from me recording my wife's cello track in the sequencer.

Although I had saved the seq/song I did not save as such the sample file for the cello track. So for a time whenever I booted up, that error message came up. Because I was alwasy working on different projects, I simply selected the restore option.

Don't know if that helps or not, but that's how it happened to me.

Actually, I have to say it shows how well programmed the O is - alerting the user to something that is incomplete, when the user may have overlooked it is a great thing!

I get this message all the time, especially when messing with the Audio Tracks in Sequencer mode and turning the unit off. The unsaved audio resides in some sort of buffer. This gives you a chance to restore files to your project. Unless, you know that you need the audio, DELETE the files. This won't affect audio already SAVED to disk.
