Rear Panel Logos

OK, please don't flame me for asking the following question:

Has anyone found (or desired to find) an elegant way to cover up the rear panel logos on the Kronos?

I'm proud to be a Kronos owner/player. I love the classy black finish (even the shiny end caps!) But there are settings where the "KORG" and "KRONOS" logos seem a little much (in certain religious services, for example.)

Recently, I was set up in the front of a sanctuary facing the congregation. When I went out into the pew area and looked up at the instrument, it seemed a little pretentious and self-serving.

I don't want to permanently cover them up. I have some rubber mats that were designed to keep a cellphone in place on a car dashboard. I use one to keep the controller for my Bose system in place on the front panel when performing. The mats seem to cling to the Kronos rear panel, but they are the wrong size. I may try to get another set and cut them to size.

I don't want to detract from the classy look of the instrument. Just curious if anyone else has attempted to such a feat?

This is one of the many uses for duct tape

black gaffer tape might be a better choice - you will have much less tape residue when you decide to remove it.

Is the chassis metal? Perhaps you can buy those flexible magnets in black that will simple stick to the back. I wouldn't bother covering. Pretentious? I think you're overanalyzing.

Perhaps. But in those settings, I prefer to err on the side of caution.

I understand your concern, and while I don't plan to use magnets, I doubt they would hurt anything.

Apple puts magnets in laptops and iPads. I knew a guy who once put a floppy disk on a refrigerator with a magnet to prove that they weren't as sensitive as commonly thought.

Still, rather safe than sorry!

with a fan and harddrive, whether SSD or not.. i would not put a magnet on your keyboard.

Tape that can be removed more or less easily was also the first that comes to my mind.

go to a fabric store and buy a yard of black or slate grey fabric. Cut to fit.
Ask the ladies at the store for some small double sided adhesive tabs.

When they hear this is for a $4,000 keyboard, you will impress them

I have 2 cats that jump around on furniture, etc. I bought 2 yards of clear plastic to drape over my 88.

I have the same issue at church. I use 4 inch gaffers tape. Comes right off and doesn't leave a sticky mess like duct tape. Use the one inch tape to secure cables to your stand. You'll have a very clean looking setup. When I play with everyother gig, I don't bother taping over the brand name.
