Also it depends what your previous synth is. Altough I have an M50 (which is soundlike equal to M3), I miss aftertouch a lot and my second newest synth is an Extreme and then the Kronos is quite a step forward (set list & 16 combinations).

This is where I kind of feel less aggrieved towards Korg over the free engine codes, and guess it will divide opinions.
I was one of those who felt that after spending £5149 on buying the Oasys, why should I have to pay extra for basically a few numbers to use them, the engines were built into the OS and for me those were always in the development and life stages of the Oasys so Korg would have possibly already costed the development of those into it,even if a few were added with upgrades later they must have been prototyped before they made a full production run,it's not like they were expansion boards or anything physical so felt a little cheated over charging for them,I always had an incline that if I waited long enough they were offer them eventually after it's support life or at least at a fraction of the price.
I think Korg offered them as a gesture to persuade Oasys owners to switch over to Kronos after many probably felt annoyed that the value of Oasys had dipped and by making all Oasys to the same spec with expansion made it more feasible to probably sell it.

You know I've always tried to stay at least 18 months behind technology and the purchase of those codes were no exception if you bought them then fine but learn a valuable lesson over it,it's why I've decided to put on hold my JP80 purchase,

I like that a lot! I've never heard that one before...

I also agree with previous posters in that a) yes, buy what it does today - do not buy on promises or dreams and b) not for a singly minute would I part with my OASYS - Korg produced the best keyboard ever and I consider myself fortunate to be able to have one and I adore every moment I play it.

I am confident I will get 15 years out of the Oasys; that is if I still have it.
The build quality is extremely good on the Oasys. However, if my Kronos holds up(that is the board that I wonder about keeping up with the longevity of the T3), there is still a possibility that a JP80 could somehow find it's way into my grasp. :)
