Hi everyone.

There has been some discussion/ complaints about the brass sounds, etc. I have read that there are other samples available, but you have to swap out the existing banks to load them. Is that correct? Are these addition samples/ programs on the DVD's. Just wanna know.

Thank you.

since the conversation started, I've loaded the new banks (that are on the Kronos internal Hard Drive). I can't speak as to if the sounds are "better", because I haven't been able to A/B them yet... but the new ones do sound good.

All you need to do is load the EXs3 .ksc file and then load the EXs3 .pxg file to one of your user banks. you don't have to overwrite anything or swap out anything... (unless you don't have enough RAM available) then you may have to not load something so it will fit.

When the default PRELOAD.KSC is loaded and you don't have additional memory you have to swap out something.

just remember to save your default "preload" first if anything goes wrong :)

(save all in diskmode)
I tried this tonight and if you choose a regular clarinet or something you can choose EXS3 samples, but without the program setting for that sound. The difficult is that you have to unload a whole bunch of samples to have room for it all in your 2gb ram. You can choose "virtual memory" and then it uses the SSD i guess :)
Anyway i started unloading a lot of samples, but i figured it would screw up alot of combis so i didnt load the EXs3 at all..

Well, of course you have to swap... why would you want to keep the not 'so good' samples.. if the whole purpose is to get better ones.

I don't know if it is a matter of not so good versus good samples, more like: MORE samples or more versatile samples.

Yea but if the programs have already been done using the "better" samples why not just use those? Then you could just delete the old programs....all together.
