Disk button

Post by dabdab111 »

Hello, the disk button on my Korg Oasys has topped working. Until I get it repaired, is there a shortcut I can use so I can access my files please. Thanks.

There's a question and a half!

I really can't think of a way to get to those screens at all other than through disk mode. I've just looked up the service manuals (both parts) and there's nothing to suggest a shortcut or the like.

Hope it doesn't take too long to get it repaired!

You can jump to different modes on the OASYS by sending SysEx commands from your PC or any connected midi device.

Sadly, I don't know what the command values are for Disk Mode, and I don't think KORG ever released that information either. Kind of odd that as it's normally in the manual.

Maybe someone like michelkeijzers might know what the value to send is.

Regards
Sharp.

Thanks. It is a weird one. I never even dreamt that this would happen, especially to this button. I will do as suggested. Cheers.

If there is a weakness in the O it's her buttons!

I have 4 buttons now either not working or are severely temperamental - but can't bear the thought of living without her while she gets repaired.

@Sharp - interesting notion. Would be good to know what that might be... Michel?
