Crums... I knew this would happen.
After school, my son sat in front of the Kronos and started playing with karmified combis. The result ? He now wants me to sell his PA1X and get him a Kronos.

You can kill two birds with one stone Francois. Pick any sound from the Kronos and then spend the next few weeks tryin to duplicate it on the PA1X. ~Whether you are successful, or not is irrelevant but the process will do three things that will help both you and your boy for many years to come.
1. That pretty much any sound can be reproduced (near as damn it ) on your existing gear if you take the time to develope the skills to prgramme properly
2. That its not the keyboard but the player/sound designer/style programmer that matters
3. That having new gear requires the same thing to make it sound great as having old gear . The key word is SKILL

(although if anyone sees a Kronos going cheap i could be re converted again

You also can buy a cheap sampler ... ask which program he likes on the Kronos (let him chose one per week) and sample it so he can play it on his sampler
