loaded Combi banks not locating Programs (v1.6)
I see that the manual states:
"When data is loaded into a bank that is different than
its original bank, the data (bank, program, pattern, and
kit numbers, etc.) will automatically be reconfigured so
that after loading, the various types of data will
correspond correctly in each mode."
This not happening for me with Combis, don't know if it is supposed to or not. Combi program references don't change to match the corresponding Program bank locations. I ran into this with the Brass & Woodwind bank until I put the program bank into the default UG. Also the KRS-57 Combi bank refers to UA & UB banks ?! The PCG program default for KRS-57 is UA-UD, when their PDF brochure shows it as U-AA to U-DD.
I'm not sure how the Global function "Change All Bank References" would affect the factory Combis, since you can't specify a certain bank of Combis to change program references. Tried loading KRS bank into PCG Tools web app with no luck. Do not have PC version yet. What am I missing? Thx

I don't have experience with KRS-57, however with PCG Tools you can copy combis from one PCG file to another including its programs and all references will automatically be fixed.
Notice: in the latest version there is a bug regarding this feature but hope to fix it very soon.

Did you load the Combis and Programs at the same time, or at different times? Remapping the Combi references requires loading both at the same time.xp50player wrote:I see that the manual states:

it happened again
I just tried to Multiple Select the Combi and Programs to load. When I hit load, it did exactly what happened earlier: it did not ask me any bank assignments, it just overwrote my UA-UD banks. How Can I load them at the same time and have it ask me where to install?
Re: it happened again
Select the combination file you want to load. Then you can check a field which let you choose to load the programs too I believe. I am not with my Kronos so I cant check, but I remember this.xp50player wrote:I just tried to Multiple Select the Combi and Programs to load. You are right. My mistake. Try going a step up to the PCG file. And klick on the load button. Now you can select different banks for the programs and choose the banks where to load. I think the combis loads in the standard location. Probably the references will be ok here? I never tried it because I use PCG tools.

If I hit LOAD on the PCG, it gives me a from/to for Program banks only. Only if I select ALL on that screen does it load Combis+Programs, and then only to default location. If I load Combi folder as a whole, it puts Combi in default bank, no programs. If I open Combi folder and select Combi bank, I can select destination and load, no programs included. There appears to be no way to load Combis + Programs to banks other than default and have them match up. This is bad when KARO library is programmed to overwrite 4 banks of presets UA-UD.
Ok, mayby someone else has a sollution.
You can always try PCG tools on your computer. With this program you can open the Karo PCG and your own PCG and copy the Karo banks or single sounds to the banks of your choice and it remains the references.
