High level language coding and a generation of coders born after machine language has created a lazy attitude that bugs are to be expected. That is flat out wrong. A bug is an error and to not correct it ASAP is distain for the customer.
Coming from ML coding on 8-bit CPUs in the '70s, I have nothing but disgust for the young ones' no care attitude for bugs. Code is more complex today sure, so TRY HARDER.

That's right!
I'm a database programmer and if I would deliver my customers such buggy solutions like developers from the music hardware industry do it today, I would lose my job!
My customers want:
- a full working product, ( they're not beta testers because they pay money for it! )
- reliability
- fast service if an error occurs
- always fast and good contact and communication
If I wouldn't offer all this basic buisness things to my customers, they would look for another supplier!
The current music hardware industry developers are meaning they can do with us what they want ... and yes, they can do it, because there are always fanboys which love them no matter what they do ...
To get fast an OS Update with bug fixes is not a wish, but it's required! Especially for a 3.000 EUR /3.000$ product which was praised as a "Game Changer" !
Sorry my english is not very good, so sometimes I have to edit my posts to delete mistakes!
