Kaoss Pad 3 help, Ubuntu

Post by Stumpy0102 »

I have Ubuntu OS, and I'm trying to get my KP3 to hook into my computer to have it play through my computer speakers. Is there any type of software I need for this? I have an RCA to 3.5mm that hooks from my pad to my computer input, I just cant seem to get it to play through the speakers. I mainly want to be able to record  Thanks for any help! :D

Have you already checked the simple stuff? Because sometimes it's easy to forget. Like your audio options, line in could be turned down or something.

Just checked that, it was turned down, but it didn't solve the problem. Is there a software I need to have open for it to play? It wouldn't just play through the speakers without any type of program open would it?

Under Linux, you have first the following sofware layers to use :
Alsa drivers and Jack

A Daw : Ardour
A midi seq : rosegarden
midi + audio : muse

you'd better try google to find linux audio software.
