Well, yes, I understand why some people are annoyed about the sequencer issue. I must admit to not being fussed about this as I only ever use the sequencer as a sort of note pad to record ideas quickly, not as a fully fledged sequencer. For that, I turn to my DAW which enables me to control the MIDI tracks with greater precision and ease.
So I would have bought the Kronos even with no sequencer.

I have installed the 2.0.5 update, and now the KARMA Module Control selection works fine, as stated in the release notes (thanks KORG!).
However, I still experience that the 0-6c: Note/CC Activity on the 0-6: KARMA GEpage of the Sequencer does not display any activity for any of the KARMA modules, even though the modules ARE playing.
The Note/CC Activity display works fine in Program and in Combination mode, but not in Sequencer mode.
I wonder whether anybody of you observes the same on your KRONOS.

Every other update has went smoothly. This time, I must have tried about 10-12 times using every combination of extracting. Then, for no reason, I thought I'll try Bob's method and....B i n g o ! Well, it is finished. BTW, I was so frustrated that I thought of calling Korg USA---no one answered, then the light went off...they are in NY. I hope they can get operating soon along with the other storm victims.BobTheDog wrote:Turned it off, put the stick in the other USB port and it has worked this time.BobTheDog wrote:Eeek its gone wrong.
I have clicked on the "OK" button in the "Found Version 2.0.5" updater dialog and it has just hung with the "ok" button depressed.
It has been like it for 10 minutes now, not really sure what to do. Is it safe to power it off do you think?
phew!
Kronos 2 61, Wavestation A/D, Yamaha Genos and others.

Did you ever find out what the problem was?JFree wrote:I just updated. For some reason my factory string patches that have 'SW1' functions like pizz/octave, don't seem to be working. I'm not 100% sure it's the upgrade, or whether I did something prior, but anyone else?
Also, has anybody else had any weird issues after upgrading?
If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!

KRONOS System Version 2.0.5
November, 7, 2012
Korg has identified a problem with KRONOS system version 2.0.5, in which the HD-1's Amp LFO1/2 AMS Intensity values were incorrectly ignored at note-on. We are already testing a fix for this problem, and expect to release an update in the next week or so. In the meantime, downloads of 2.0.5 have been suspended. If you have already installed 2.0.5 and this problem affects your usage of the KRONOS, you may downgrade to 2.0.2 using the standard installation procedure. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Odd that this one bug is worthy of a download suspension, but the other bugs previously were fine for months. Is this a sign that OS updates are getting better attention to quality testing?
I am heartened that Korg (or anyone) is happy to admit a bug before it is fixed. No one thinks less of a manufacturer because a bug is found and being fixed.

Well..they could just ignore us. To me Korg proves again that they care about us kronos usersI am heartened that Korg (or anyone) is happy to admit a bug before it is fixed. No one thinks less of a manufacturer because a bug is found and being fixed
(I think this issue also affect the Krome users)
In my daily work i also test maintenance releases for our applications and the timeline for testing and upgrade production is usually within 3-6 months after regression testing, configuration changes, database corrections, user test cases, bug fixes etc and korg follows this timeline it seems for their system releases.
Lets not forget the humans sitting at korg testing new software and bugfixes, they can make mistakes
Is this message present in any other Korg website distributor, apart from Korg USA?neomad wrote:Official words into Korg US website
