Well I have tried lots of cables, including ones that work with other keyboards.

I am thinking something at the kronos end may be broken really.

Oh we'll it's Christmas I'm not going to worry about wasting 3 hours today trying different things to get it to work, it's turned off now maybe I will calm down and turn it on again some time.

Have a happy Christmas everyone.

Uninstall?

Re-install?
Thanks for the advise but I do wonder if you have read any of the thread?
I'd also try shutting down the computer after the uninstall AND switching off the power supply on the PC.

Then re-install.

Just before you go,my friend.
I bet you are really fed up with this already, but before you abandon everything can I suggest two things……no,it doesn't involve a hammer (tempting, though)… :D

Try to re-install the Kronos o/s yourself, just in case there's a glitch somewhere.

Then try,if you feel adventurous, removing the underside cover to check for any loose connections,plugs/sockets,even the memory card, inside etc.
Nothing to loose.

As it's been through the Korg Uk route.....anything could happen to the innards !....(accidental,of course....).

Best Wishes an a Merry Xmas to you as well.

I apreciate you help but if you read my first post you would see I have done all this!

As I have tried 3 different computers and an iPad and loads of different leads I really think it must be a Kronos hardware issue of some kind.

Hi Guys,

I had a look at the socket on the Kronos and there was some kind of light grey/white crap in there so I blasted it with air (everyone needs one of these http://www.mrpcclean.co.uk/datavac-elec ... p-261.html ) and now it works.

Very strange, I wonder where it came form?

Well done that man......good news.

The stuff came as "free issue" from the workshop.......
There's plenty more inside,probably.

Time to play,then...?....

Best Wishes.

So the blower and the hammer did the job? Sounds like a new soundtrack can be written to that.
Have a Merry Christmas Bob

"grey/white crap"? Packing materials? Do you have kids? Glad you got it solved.
